Grant writing · Greensboro, NC
Vetiver finds the funders that fit, writes the narrative, builds the budget and its justification, reads every page against the funder’s checklist, and submits from your portal — for one flat fee per application package. Send us the funder and the date. The rest can live on our desk.
Flat-fee packages
Every package includes the research on fit, the writing, a budget with its narrative, and a compliance read against the funder’s own checklist. You’ll know the number on day one, and it won’t move.
For the organization that knows it needs funding, just not yet from whom.
The two-page first impression most foundations ask for before they invite a full proposal.
The complete application for a community, family, or corporate foundation — the package we write most often.
North Carolina departmental RFAs and pass-through funds, with their workbooks, certifications, and very particular formatting.
Grants.gov submissions with the full SF-424 family. Priced by page limits and attachment count, confirmed in writing once we’ve read the notice.
Resubmitting a declined package we wrote? The reviewer-comment rewrite is $390. Every invoice splits in two: half at kickoff, half when your confirmation receipt arrives.
Before you call
So your first conversation with us can be about your program, not our paperwork.
Commission-based grant writing is discouraged by the profession’s own ethics codes, and most funders won’t let award dollars pay for the proposal that won them. A flat fee keeps everything clean: you know the cost before we start, funded or not.
The fee covers the writing, not the outcome — no one can honestly promise an award. If the funder shares reviewer comments, we’ll walk through them with you at no charge and tell you plainly whether a resubmission is worth your time.
That’s already how it works: half at kickoff, half when the confirmation receipt lands. Check, ACH, or card — whichever your bookkeeper prefers.
Comfortably: six weeks for federal, three for a foundation full proposal. Closer than that? Call anyway — we’ll tell you within one business day whether we can do it well, and say so if we can’t.
About three hours across the whole package: a 60-minute kickoff interview, one read-through of the draft, and a final sign-off. We gather everything else and chase the attachments for you.
We do, from your portal account with your written authorization, and the receipt is in your inbox the same day. For federal work you’ll need an active SAM.gov registration — we check it in week one so it never becomes a Friday-afternoon surprise.
Who we write for
Service-area expansions, equipment and capital notices, workforce programs.
Operating support, pharmacy assistance, volunteer-clinician programs.
Peer-support, crisis-line, and school-based counseling funds.
Pantry operations, cold storage, mobile distribution routes.
Summer learning, mentoring, and early-literacy grants.
Case management, rental assistance, and job-readiness programs.
Community programs kept separate from worship, the way funders require it written.
We check your 501(c)(3) letter, SAM.gov, and portal logins before a single word gets written.
Submission day
How a package moves through our desk
— the first rule on the Vetiver deskwe read every funding notice twice before writing a word — once for what it asks, and once for how it will be scored.
That’s the federal route. Foundation proposals travel a three-week version of the same road.
Your next step
Send the funder and the deadline. Within one business day you’ll hear whether we can take it, which package fits, and the flat fee in writing.
The desk
Most kickoffs happen by phone or video, so you never have to leave the clinic. If you’d like to sit across the table with your binder, we’ll have coffee on — just book a time first.
